Five helicopters? Really? Wow, Santa Barbara County is just not that big to justify so many units.

They did arrest them Friday. The bail amount for each is set at $500,000. Both of them will go to court today unless they posted bail over the weekend.

I wonder what charges he was bailed out for previously. It's funny because this guy had multiple warrants. I wonder if he posted bail bonds for all the cases or just one and he got into trouble afterwards. Either way, it seems this guy is going to spend some time at the iron bar motel.

I wonder how they were able to find her and which authority actually made the arrest. Apparently she's wanted out of Arizona too. This woman is a major con artist.

She made a mistake... daily for 7 years! I'm sure she felt guilty about stealing at first, but after awhile it became routine because it was probably easy. She might be a really nice person based on 30 letters of support, but that doesn't excuse the crime.

I've had my business account at SBB&T for over 12-years. It was sad to see everything transformed to Union. Santa Barbara is becoming homogenized and losing it's unique charm. As a local business owner, I struggle everyday to continue operating. I grew up in Santa Barbara and strive to patron only local businesses. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be as much customer loyalty anymore.
I have two competitors in bail bonds that are vying to be the Walmart of the industry. Some of my former clients go to these other companies, which is disheartening. My competitors only take from the area and don't give back. I live here, shop here, pay taxes, vote and stay involved with the local community. They only hire employees who may or may not live in the area.
Please keep it local.

Even if he has a case from Riverside, he'll eventually have to answer for the charges out of Santa Barbara County. The Sheriff's Department will have to transport him unless he posts a bail bond first.

In regards to loonpt's comment, I doubt this one incident will "slow things down." This is just a slight hiccup in the operations. As long as there is demand, there will be dealers who find ways to either continue as before or figure out a new way to ship the drugs. In the more lucrative Cocaine market, cartels actually build submarines to transport their product. If Marijuana becomes profitable enough, they'll probably do the same thing.
