So now goofy Ben Carson is giving tips on effective communication. What a jackass! Here are some gems from the good doctor:

"A lot of people who go into prison straight, and when they come out they’re gay.” – CNN interview

"You know Obamacare is really I think the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery. And it is in a way, it is slavery in a way, because it is making all of us subservient to the government, and it was never about health care. It was about control.” – 2013 at the Values Voter Summit

"There comes a time when people with values simply have to stand up. Think about Nazi Germany. Most of those people did not believe in what Hitler was doing. But did they speak up? Did they stand up for what they believe in? They did not, and you saw what happened.” - Carson

On Gun Control and Racism

Thorn is showing his racism with this absurd op ed. If they can't tell the difference between a planned act of terrorism by a white supremacist and the usual gun crime that goes on every day in this nation, then he is a fool.

Memo to the hateful haiku writing Thorn clan, hundreds of white folks are also shooting each other across this great land. Why was there so much media attention when a white guy killed mostly white folks in a movie theater? Unfortunately, some white men seem to be the ones that feel a need to slaughter innocents whether it is a school, synagogue, mosque, or church. As a white man I am wondering what is wrong with our people?

Clearly this nation need to grow up and enact effective gun control laws. It also needs to confront the ugly fact that violent bigotry is very much alive and endemic.

If oil production suddenly disappeared from Santa Barbara County it would have no measurable effect on the price of oil or motor fuels. Clausen I suggest that you get a job closer to home, you are part of the traffic problem on the 101.

The city council has the mistaken notion that they can hire a management company and get the same quality work for less money. They forgot to factor in the profit that the management company has to make. At best this privatization will be a wash and do nothing to help the balance sheet. At worst it will be like the city softball fiasco where the cost went way up for teams and they just dropped out or went to Elings park. Less people now participate and the city makes less money.

The CC could have saved a bunch if they would have made a deal with the homeowners and the plaintiffs in the district voting case.

IG Farben, Dupont what's the difference in the mind of a CT kook? I mean they both make chemicals. Oh and now apparently the County did not spend enough money keeping up the privately owned oil pipeline. Keep it goofy 14allscams you are winning!

I am glad to see so many 420 friendly posters here, some whom I disagree with on a regular basis.

JL, by all means do not let reality or facts get in the way of your perception. I have been driving local roads for over thirty years and they have never been better. You may suffer from Santa Barbara derangement syndrome better know as SBDS. Some of the symptoms are: a lack of accepting new good ideas like bulb outs and roundabouts, a self absorbed panic mode that occurs when ever an important issue like infrastructure comes up, and the strange idea that government works better in other areas.
