Sounds like they were serving lots of whine at the GOP headquarters. If the GOP wants to resore their former power in California thay are going to have to get rid of the cavemen / cavewomen that have dominated its leadership for so many years.

My post was directed to AShaw. Pueblo is an outstanding community organization. Here is their mission statement:
PUEBLO is a 501(c)4 non-profit economic and environmental justice organization dedicated to building the political power and leadership of low-income residents throughout Santa Barbara County.
I do not recall Pueblo pointing "fingers of indignation" at the police for cracking down on gang violence. Perhaps you could be so kind as to provide some evidence of them "rallying against the police"

You are a one person blog. Do you talk to yourself too? By reading many of your posts, it is clear that you feel that illegal immigration is the major cause of the gang problem. I was pointing out that only 10 to 15% of those arrested were illegals. So a resonable person would conclude that illegal immigration is not a major cause of gang violence. Latino gangs in California date back to the 1940's. This problem is over a half century old and will take much time and dedication to solve. Chief Sanchez has consistantly shown leadership on this issue and the raids were a first step to solving the problem.

You are very confused about the logical fallacy called the straw man. It is not an idology. Where did you get that? Lemme hep ya. From Wikipedia":A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position.[1] To "set up a straw man," one describes a position that superficially resembles an opponent's actual view, yet is easier to refute, then attributes that position to the opponent. For example, someone might deliberately overstate the opponent's position.[1] While a straw man argument may work as a rhetorical technique—and succeed in persuading people—it carries little or no real evidential weight, since the opponent's actual argument has not been refuted.[2]"
You reference to OJ was a classic example of this very flawed approach. The last phrase of your rant simply left me laughing. My advice for you is to brush up on your writing skills, I hear that Adult Education has some excellent courses.
In response to the last poster. The massive crakdown by the SBPD and the Feds was the correct approach to the criminal activities of the East Side Gang. It also shows that Cam Sanchez knows what has to be done to stop this type of criminal. I can only hope that there will be more of these sweeps.

That would also mean that 90 to 85% of the gang members are either citizens or here legally. So what we have here is a problem that has little to do with illegal immigration. Nice try.

Thank God we will not have to hear any more about Ms. Palin and her crazy idealogy. It was like a bad tabloid story gone amok. Witchdoctors, exorcisms, Alaskan Independance Party, teen mothers .... The election proved that the American voters were able to make an adult choice for President.
