Aceves is an insensitive fool who should not be holding public office, now or ever. He's shown his true colors with this incident. Vote him out.

On Touchy ‘Turban’ Talk

Basically, all the talk isn't going to change the fact (as someone above pointed out) that on Saturday a large number of pissed-off students (and others!) are going to raise hell and party. How the cops respond to this will determine if there's a "riot" or not. SB police don't have a great track record for patient crowd control, so, it could get gnarly. I love the smell of tear gas in the morning.

How can this be, old pal? Just saw you a couple weeks ago, fittingly walking on the beach at Devereaux. Will certainly miss yr goofy laugh and always enlightened take on the absurdity of it all. We shared many funny moments, and I feel like an idiot writing this now, you were definitely one of a kind, the one and only you. Adios.

We'll miss you, Tom the Lad, your infectious laugh, your warmth, your twisting, endless stories (so much blarney), your love of poetry and all things Irish. Rest in peace, you're with the Bards of Olde, and this world is a diminished place. And with love and affection to Doris.

We'll miss you Tommy Boy, your quick laugh, your intelligence, your mystery, your bright intensity in all things that mattered to you, your compulsive artistic ideas. You was an original. I'll miss our fleeting, mad conversations over the past 30 something years. Be at peace, brother.
