Yes....I did know the Charburger of yore. True, the current version isn't the same, but it still ranks for me as one of the top burger joints in town because of the memories eating one brings back. (Or, hasn't Salverus read the article.) It is still a dang good burger, although, true, not as it once was.

I also remember the ultimate cheesy-thunderstorm machine experience of the Aloha Burger, which, to this day, I still crave along with the Aloha Criss Cross fries.

There was also that really greasy burger slung up in the space that is now the really expensive children's clothing shop on State Street. Greasy, gooey burger accompanied with terrifically crispy criss cross fries eaten out on their small bricklined patio. That was good burger eats, too! (Can't remember the name of it..just remember all the old time movie star photographs hung up on the wall.)

No, I don't work for Fairview Gardens. As a matter of fact, have never been out there. Sorry to say, I put the words together myself. And, it seems that people writing about these little armadillos of deliciousness, use the quote from Mark Twain when writing about Cherimoyas, because, well, it's Mark Twain for God's sakes, and, it's quite frankly succinctly perfect.
