Diva you don't have a clue. All of your dealings were with Patrick's brother Chris. For you to go in front of the city council and hurl a bunch of insults and lies at Patrick, just proves that you don't do your research, aren't in touch with reality, and you have set yourself up for a slander lawsuit. I hope you get what is coming to you.

I hope they decide to go to court and the court throws out the sloppy ordinance that Wiley crafted. It violates the state law in several regards and is ludicrous when compared to how we license the sale of other drugs in the city like tobacco, alcohol, and prescription meds.

On Council Gives Pot Shops More Time to Move

I would like to ship the gang of 4 out to the dessert! They don't belong on the city council, and they certainly know little about what is best for the people of Santa Barbara. Like most republicans they cater to business leaving citizens out in the cold (transient or not).

On Mayor Files Lawsuit to Block End of World

I was at this hearing. It was one-sided. Mr. Fourmy presented the board with 5 declarations from doctors, stating that the facility is a needed asset to the community. But apparently the planning commission knows more about medical needs than physicians do. Mr. Fourmy also presented declaration after declaration from patients who rely on the clinic and who would otherwise have to use highly addictive and toxic medicines like Oxycontin and Vicodin. In addition, he presented the commission with declarations from all the neighboring businesses that with a unified voice, stated that they were good neighbors and never caused a problem. Unfortunately, our planning commission cares more about their perception of the rules, than the health and welfare of our community. Shame on you Michael Jordan and your cronies. Mr. Fourmy also brought over 80 patient signatures of patients who swear they received their medicine from the Compassion Center during the period when the commission says they were closed. He also brought a sworn declaration from the landlord that the Center was open. But the commission chose to call over 80 patients and the landlord LIARS and instead chose to believe their own inspector WHO COULDN'T EVEN VERIFY THAT THEY DID AN INSPECTION!!!! Frankly Michael Jordon, you don't represent the will of our community, and I don't know how you got elected in the first place. Oh that's right you weren't elected in the first place but appointed by the City Council. Impeach this ****

Last time I heard, it cost about $50,000 a year to keep someone incarcerated. How about this...how about you adopt a sensible policy and only arrest violent criminals? There are certainly better ways to deal with non-violent offenders than locking them in cages and demanding our hard earned money to keep them there. Bill Brown seems to think the answer to the problem is building more cages and caging more people - which in reality only adds to the problem. 72% recidivism rate means that only 28% of the people sent to jail learn their lesson and stay out. That is an F- minus in anyone's book. How about we scale back on the jails and put the funds into social programs to keep people out of jail in the first place. More jails and more cops is not the answer. Vote NO on S. We have more people in prisons in this country THAN THE REST OF THE WORLD COMBINED and crime rates are going up. Time to rethink, don't you think?

I like how she calls marijuana patients "users." Meanwhile she is prescribing all sorts of nasty Big Pharma drugs to her psychiatric patients. Who is the drug pusher here? Did you know that over 35,000 Americans die each year from overdosing on Pharma drugs? Not 1 person...let me say that again...not 1 person has ever overdosed on marijuana. It is physically impossible. Maybe she should be asking herself about US Patent 6630507 on MARIJUANA AS MEDICINE that the US Department of Health and Human Services holds? And just how do storefront dispensaries cannabis kids? Dispensaries can't be located anywhere near a school and you must be at least 18 years old and have a doctor's recommendation just to step foot in one. This lady seriously needs some psychiatric help or at least she needs to come to grips medical science. Does she perhaps even know that her own body has an endocannabinoid system that controls hunger, sleep, memory, and healing? Yes Mari, that's right. Your own body creates cannabinoids - the same exact chemical structure as cannabis. And if she did do her research, she would learn that most common ailments like rheumatic arthritis, diabetes type II, glaucoma, chronic pain, are all a direct result in the break down of your body's endocannabinoid system and can be treated by consuming cannabis. Who's medicine are you going to trust? Big Pharma's? Or God's? Here Mari, let me help educate you. Here is a consortium of the World's leading medical scientists www.medicalcannabis.com. See for yourself. Or maybe you should check out the CME course on Cannabis provided by the San Francisco School of Medicine. Either way, check yourself.
