I am a college student who has visited Israel multiple times. While I am no radical on this issue--I would love to see a Palestinian and Israeli state side by side--the college students in this country are becoming more and more pro Palestinian without being well informed. While the American government is still very pro Israel the American media is getting more and more pro Palestinian. I think that the unfortunate side effect of both of these takes is that neither tells the whole story. I have spent a couple of months at a time living in Israel and I attended a university with both Jewish and Muslim students who are both Israeli and Palestinian and I think it is important to realize how complicated this situation really is. The American media gives a very simplified view of what is going on and often only highlights the bigger acts of violence. For those of you reading this article who are interested I highly recommend doing your own research or even visiting Israel if you are able, because it is the only way to get a complete picture of the complicated Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
