The Volt per Octaves at Elsie’s

Tue Feb 20, 2007 | 03:05pm

Santa Barbara moog music gurus The Volt per Octaves are set to
play tonight, February 20, downtown at Elsie’s. Nick and Anna
Montoya have had a long and loving relationship with their moogs,
making intricate electronic compositions with influences like
Goldfrapp, Ima Robot, and Devo. Already they have put out one CD,
Sleeping
In/Theta Release
, and are working on a second to come out
around the summertime, which will feature Brian Kehew of The Who
and Air! This husband-and-wife duo has rocked the local scene many
times over, and this time they are doing it with Bizzarro Lord
Zool, After the Goldrush, and Darren Holzhausen for a night of
electronic immersion. The show starts at 10 p.m.
