IVFP Cracks Down on Couch Burning

The Santa Barbara County sheriff’s department has stepped up patrols throughout Isla Vista in order to prevent the mass couch-burnings that so often coincide with the end of the school year and students’ moving out of their apartments. Previous preventive measures have subjected couch-torchers to $1,000 fines, yearlong jail terms, and punitive action by UCSB.
