Criminal Charges Filed Against Santa Barbara Landlord

Criminal charges were filed against Santa Barbara landlord Dario Pini for the substandard conditions at his 529 West Carrillo rental properties. City housing inspectors claim they found holes punched through the front wall of the complex, along with exposed plumbing and leaking pipes. Inspectors also claim Pini has been making modifications to the property without securing the necessary city permits. Pini has already served several months in county jail for violating building codes. Pini’s attorney said all the permits have since been applied for and corrections are taking place.
