Landscape painters rely on bucolic and beautiful scenes, so it’s no wonder they are the heart of SCAPE, or Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment, a five-year-old organization of more than 200 who raise money with their art to protect open spaces and raise environmental awareness. This summer’s annual show, complete with entertainment and demonstrations, is this weekend, July 28 and 29, at La Arcada Court on State Street, with the theme City Parks: Domestic and Wild. This year’s beneficiaries are the Douglas Family Preserve/PARC Foundation, and that particular open space will be widely represented.
