The County of Santa Barbara’s general fund had $11.4 million in undesignated revenue left over from the 2006-07 fiscal year, according to a staff report presented to the Board of Supervisors on 8/14. This money will go into the county’s strategic reserve. County staff will come back in September with a detailed report on large future issues facing the county. In October, supervisors will review programs left unfunded during the June budget process and possibly use the surplus for some of the programs.
