Robert Lagomarsino and Yvon Chouinard were honored on 10/27 by the National Forest Foundation for their contributions to the protection of public lands. Though from very different parts of the political and social spectrum, both Lagomarsino-a California state senator from 1961-74 and Chouinard-founder and owner of Patagonia-strive to push a sense responsibility to help protect the environment.
