SB’s General Plan Process Continues

Santa Barbara City planning commissioners John Jostes, Bendy White, and Addison Thompson expressed frustration that the General Plan update process has been quiet and lengthy. “It needs to get a little messy,” said White. The General Plan dictates how, where and how much the community will grow in the next 20 years. Measure E-enacted to limit commercial growth-expires in two years, leaving the city without a planning document.
