Acreage Protected for Endangered Fish

The United States Fish and Wildlife Service announced recently the designation of some 10,000 acres of critical habitat in California for the federally endangered Tide Water Goby, including many acres in Santa Barbara County. Seldom more than two-inches in length, the grey-brown Goby lives in lagoons, marshes, estuaries, and coastal streams.
