Mudcrutch Announce SB Tour Stop
Petty's Original Band Books Concert at the Arlington
Between The Epics and The Heartbreakers, Tom Petty had Mudcrutch. And for the first time in over 30 years, the original fivesome will return to the stage for a very special tour, which includes a stop at the Arlington Theatre on Saturday, April 19.
The band, consisting of original members Petty, Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Tom Leadon, and Randall Marsh, first formed in Florida during the early 70s. But after moving to Los Angeles, snagging a record deal, and releasing 1975’s “Depot Street,” the group parted ways, leaving Petty, Tench, and Campbell to continue their musical takeover sans Leadon and Marsh.
Reuniting for the first time last year, Mudcrutch is now set to release a new, self-titled album on Tuesday, April 29, which is rumored to include both new and old material. Tickets for the April 19 show go on sale this Saturday, March 22 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets (F.Y.E., Macy’s, ticketmaster.com) as well as the Arlington Theatre Box Office (1317 State St.). There is a four ticket limit per customer.
