Woman Sexually Battered on State Street

Santa Barbara police arrested 51-year-old Frank Sanchez this weekend on charges of indecent exposure and felony sexual battery. Witnesses told police that they saw him approach a woman from behind, place his hands beneath her dress and batter her at about 12:45 on Saturday morning. After stopping Sanchez, officers spoke with the alleged victim, a 24-year-old, who confirmed the witnesses’ story. Furthermore, more witnesses also told police that they had seen Sanchez behave in this manner with another woman earlier that night, including that he had exposed himself.
