The County Public Health Department, Sheriff’s Department, and the five hospitals in the county performed a joint communication exercise on 6/21 to coordinate a response to a pandemic influenza outbreak. Funded by the federal Centers for Disease Control, the mock mass death scenario helped authorities determine what action should be taken in an actual crisis. (/fludrill)
