Biltmore Offers Oscars Bash
Dress Up and Watch the Academy Awards in Montecito
The 90 miles to the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood might seem mighty far away on Oscar Night, so the Ty Lounge at the Four Seasons Biltmore (1260 Channel Dr., (805) 565-8513) is doing its best to bring the festivities to us. In a civilized, Montecito manner, of course. On Sunday, February 22 from 5 to 11 p.m. the Lounge will offer a big screen TV and special cocktails inspired by the Best Picture-nominated films.
Luckily The Dark Knight didn’t get a nod, or else we’d have to drink Two-Faces, and it’s bad enough that’s what happens to some people after imbibing. Instead guests get to enjoy cocktails like the Jackpot Ginger Martini (inspired by Slumdog Millionaire) made with Bombay sapphire gin, Cointreau, ginger syrup, and orange and mango juices or the Guilty Pleasure (inspired by Frost/Nixon) made with Stoli vanilla vodka, Godiva white chocolate liqueur, and espresso hazelnut vodka.
Here’s your chance to vote for your favorite film with a toast.
