According to campaign finance reports released by City Hall on 9/24, mayoral candidate Steve Cushman has raised $103,000-$50,000 of that coming from Russian billionaire and new Montecito resident Sergey Grishin. Cushman also donated $15,000 to his campaign, but has, as of his most recent filing, forgiven $10,000 of that debt. City Councilmember Helene Schneider has raised nearly $83,000 in her mayoral bid. Her biggest donor was Montecito billionaire Peter Sperling, who donated $5,000. Councilmember Dale Francisco raised $53,000. The remaining two mayoral candidates, Bob Hansen and Isaac Garrett, are not actively fundraising.
