Hungary Bees Honey

“There’s nothing like it in the States,” said Ibolya Green, who along with her husband, Russell, markets and sells Hungary Bees Wild Acacia Honey (hungarybees.com) from their home in Montecito (and a distributor/warehouse in L.A., they’ve been so successful). Hungary is still rich with acacia forest, and therefore many happy, busy-as-a-bee-as they are bees, after all-honeymakers. So pure it’s practically clear, it even resists crystallizing, unlike most domestic honeys. It certainly fits the Santa Barbara profile, as it’s free of any antibiotics or pesticides, too. Ibolya even goes to Hungary annually to oversee the honey-harvest, making sure the product is as pristine as possible.
