Jury selection is underway in the trial of Denise D’Sant Angelo, a woman accused of stealing $2,800 from a group she chaired that was trying to raise money to help evicted nuns. Authorities allege she deposited the cash into a personal bank account, while her attorney has contended it was a misunderstanding and that D’Sant Angelo tried to return the funds. She is also awaiting trial in a separate fraud case.
