The Santa Barbara County Health Department announced this afternoon, May 14, that Goleta Beach has reopened following Thursday’s accidental spillage of 800 gallons of sewage in the west end of the parking lot.

According to Public Health spokesperson Michele Mickiewicz, ocean water samples collected by Environmental Health Services met all state water quality standards. Closure signs, she said, have been removed and the area has been reopened for water recreation.
