Sixty laptop computers, worth a total of around $75,000, were stolen from Montecito’s Cold Spring School this past weekend. The computers were discovered missing at 5 a.m. on the morning of 6/7, and authorities reported that the large reinforced cart in which the laptops were locked every night had been broken into. The burglars reportedly hit four different classrooms, entering through the courtyard-facing doors without using force. Sherriff’s Department spokesperson Drew Sugars said two detectives were working on the case, but wouldn’t comment further.
