From now until the week of 10/18, Santa Barbara County Animal Services is providing an amnesty period during which all late fee penalties will be waived for dog owners who renew a dog license. Beginning 10/18, animal control officers will begin canvassing door-to-door to make sure owners are in compliance with state and local laws which mandate that all dogs over four months old need to be licensed and wear a tag.
