Twiins Bounce Checks

Despite an otherwise successful 2010 West Beach Music Festival—which managed to avoid many of the issues that plagued last year’s three-day concert—promoters Jeremy and Joshua Pemberton have reportedly had a hard time paying some of the event’s performers. According to the management of two bands, Santa Barbara’s One-Eyed Willie and singer/songwriter Kelley James, checks written by the Pembertons bounced when they were deposited. The brothers admitted they had some “short-term cash flow issues” that have since been resolved, but the bands still claim they have yet to be compensated. Said Jeremy McCassy on behalf of Kelley James, “It’s a bummer to us considering we love playing Santa Barbara and always are well-received there. We are trying to get to the bottom of this.”
