The Santa Barbara Public Library System is offering two free training classes in November for non-profit and individual grant seekers. Both classes will be in the Townley Room of the Central Library, 40 E. Anapamu St.

On Wednesday, November 10 at 11am a workshop for organizations will be offered. Non-profits will learn how to use the Foundation Directory Online to identify grant makers in their area of interest, what funding is available, which grant makers are accepting applications, and how to apply. To reserve a computer for the one-hour workshop, contact Brent Field at 564-5623 or email.

On Thursday, November 18 at 11am is a class for individuals not affiliated with nonprofit organizations, such as artists and researchers. This one-hour class is for those who are seeking accurate, current information on foundations providing funding in the following areas: educational support, arts and cultural support, research and professional support and general welfare and special needs support.
