Jeff Hunt, formerly the planning director for the County of Maui, has been hired as the director of the County’s Long Range Planning Department. Hunt replaces Derek Johnson as the head of Long Range Planning, which the board of supervisors shifted back under the Planning and Development department during budget hearings this past summer. Hunt will report to director Glenn Russell.
