Lecture will examine the future of America’s national parks.

This Thursday, November 11, the Santa Ynez Valley Natural History Society brings author, naturalist, and retired park ranger Dr. William C. Tweed to Solvang Library (1745 Mission Dr.) at 7:30 p.m. for a free lecture, titled National Parks: A Critical Look at the Future of “America’s Best Idea.” The discussion will explore topics such as global warming, population growth, and wildfire management in relation to the future of national parks. Following the lecture, Dr. Tweed will sign his new book, Uncertain Path: A Search for the Future of National Parks. Call 693-5683.
