FLOATING ON A CLOUD: “I’m a slow traveler,” says Indy reader Tara Cloud, a Santa Barbara resident since 1966 who sent us this picture from Iguazu Falls on the border between Argentina and Brazil. “I like to stay in a place a week or two to get to know people and learn about the social and political situation. My favorite places are in nature, and I love small towns with dirt roads, wild animals, and bodies of water. I stay in dorms and hostels, am often off the gringo trail, speak Spanish mostly, and eat street food or cook in the dorm.” An adjunct professor at SBCC, Cloud left on her current three-year adventure after having her classes cut and nearly losing her home in the Jesusita Fire. Keep track of her adventures on her blog at mytb.org/taracloud.
