Santa Barbara detectives are on the lookout for what Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Drew Sugars called a “dangerous narcotics trafficker.” Isla Vista resident Calder Nold, 27, is wanted for selling drugs while carrying a firearm.

On Thursday, May 5, narcotics officers served a search warrant at Nold’s home in the 6600 block of Picasso Road, but Nold wasn’t home and was thought to be out of the state, said Sugars. He may recently have returned to the area, though.

During the search, which concluded a four month-long investigation, authorities found 2.5 pounds of marijuana, 2.5 ounces of cocaine, 0.5 ounces of Ecstasy, hundreds of prescription pills (Adderall, Vicodin, and muscle relaxers), scales, packaging, pay-owe sheets, a 9mm Beretta handgun with two loaded clips, and $21,000 in cash.

“Current information obtained by detectives indicates that Nold knows he is wanted and is likely armed,” said Sugars. “If anyone sees him, do not approach him, instead contact law enforcement.”

Anyone with information on Nold is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Department at (805) 681-4100 or the Sheriff’s Anonymous Tip Line at (805) 681-4171.
