Lyons Possibly Retried in August

Attorneys are looking tentatively at mid August as the trial date for Corey Lyons’s third murder trial, after the first two ended in mistrials. Lyons, accused of killing his brother Daniel Lyons and Daniel’s partner, Barbara Scharton, in their Mesa home, saw one trial ended because of a prejudicial statement from a witness, and the other most recently was declared a mistrial after the jury could not agree on a verdict.
