LATE ARRIVAL FOR NEW FASTMAN: Twelve days late and a tough labor later, Asher Salek Fastman entered the world on July 6 at an impressive 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and at 20.5 inches, making proud parents out of Indy contributor Brandon Fastman and his wife, Jenn. “It’s been a whirlwind, and I haven’t had much time to contemplate the last few very intense days,” said Brandon, who gives thanks to Cottage Hospital’s “extremely professional and helpful” third-floor nurses. “My grandmother used to say in Yiddish that cats and dogs can make babies, too. So I know that the hard work of fatherhood is still ahead of me, but I’m excited to watch my little man grow up.” So are we. Congrats!
