News from the Santa Barbara Unified School District
Cleveland Elementary School is located at 123 Alameda Padre Serra and Santa Barbara Community Academy is at 850 Portesuello Avenue, Santa Barbara.
The district is currently searching for a new principal at the Santa Barbara Community Academy. Former Academy principals Tim Quiroz and Nancy Maynez will share the leadership responsibilities until the end of August.
The balance of the district’s schools start on Thursday, August 25, 2011. (Elementary Schools: Adams, Adelante Charter, Franklin, Harding University Partnership, McKinley, Monroe, Open Alternative, Peabody Charter, Roosevelt, Santa Barbara Charter, and Washington. Secondary Schools: Goleta Valley Junior High, La Colina Junior High, La Cumbre Junior High, Santa Barbara Junior High, Dos Pueblos High, La Cuesta Continuation and Alta Vista, San Marcos High, and Santa Barbara High.)
