“Day of Remembrance”

September 11, 2001, was the darkest day in American law enforcement history, with 72 peace officers making the ultimate sacrifice. Our brothers and sisters in the fire and emergency medical services suffered even greater losses, with 341 firefighters and 10 emergency medical personnel being killed in the line of duty.

Please join us on Sunday, September 11, 2011, for a special tribute to honor those first responders and the more than 3,000 civilians who lost their lives during the horrific terrorist attacks on our Nation a decade ago. We will also pay tribute to our brave military personnel who died in the line of duty, both that day and subsequently while protecting us from further terrorist attacks.

Sincerely,

BILL BROWN

Sheriff – Coroner
