The esteemed Miller Family, owners of Bien Nacido, Solomon Hills and French Camp Vineyards, as well as the Central Coast and Paso Robles Wine Services and Turn Key Wine Brands, has launched two wine brands recently. The Bien Nacido and Solomon Hills brands highlight fruit from their two iconic estate vineyards. Trey Fletcher has been named the winemaker for both brands.

For nearly three decades, Bien Nacido Vineyards has provided fruit for some of America’s most beloved and critically acclaimed wine brands. More recently, with the establishment and development of the Solomon Hills Vineyards, the Miller family has expanded their holdings and has attracted noteworthy winemakers from around the country, eager to work with their fruit.

“After having sold fruit for many years, and after having watched our customers make wine at our custom crush facilities, we decided to launch our own wine brand,” says family spokesperson, Nicholas Miller. He continues, “Trey Fletcher is the perfect fit for our project. He is talented, smart and down-to-earth. We could not have asked for a winemaker more ideally suited to our two brands.”

Prior to joining the Miller family brands, Fletcher worked in the Stag’s Leap AVA of the Napa Valley and in the Mendoza and Cafayate regions of Argentina before landing as Assistant Winemaker at Domaine Alfred. He then accepted a post as Assistant Winemaker at Littorai in Sonoma, where he was until he joined the Miller family on California’s Central Coast.

“I have really been motivated by the Miller Family’s commitment and hands-on involvement in making honest, pleasurable wines that honor Bien Nacido and Solomon Hills. Working with Vineyard Manager Chris Hammell and his conscientious, thorough and professional vineyard team is a real treat,” says Fletcher.

The Bien Nacido and Solomon Hills winery facility is located on the Bien Nacido Vineyards property. Their harvest commenced this year on September 1st.

The Bien Nacido Vineyards and Solomon Hills Vineyards wines are available in limited release in California through American Wine and Spirits, and in New York, through Lauber Imports.
