Disabled Veteran Business Alliance Brings Free Education, Training and Opportunity

The Message of Entrepreneurial Opportunity For Disabled Veterans Is Coming To The Santa Barbara Area

With veteran unemployment four times the national average, entrepreneurial opportunity is critical to helping them create financial independence, support their families and create new jobs. Now the statewide non-profit Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Alliance is taking the message on the road.

DVBE Alliance Executive Director Rich Dryden says, “The Traveling Chapter will bring experts from financing, business development, diversity officials and contract buyers from State agencies and private industry who are eager to support these entrepreneurial warriors. Disabled veterans mean business, and this is an opportunity to be explored.”

To better serve the 264,000 disabled veterans in California a new “Traveling Chapter” will bring programs, training and contract opportunity to all corners of the Golden State.

The Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Alliance Traveling Chapter will host a business network event in Santa Barbara in conjunction with the already scheduled Small Business Development Center (SBDC) event Next Steps 2011. The disabled veteran network event will be held November 2, 2011 from 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. at the Santa Barbara Veterans Building, 112 West Cabrillo Blvd. ALL VETERANS ARE URGED TO PRE-REGISTER FOR THIS FREE EVENT

The ‘traveling chapter’ meetings invite disabled veterans in the area to attend, provide free Alliance membership, networking, education, access to experts and contract opportunity in each of the new service areas. There is no cost to disabled veterans. ry>
