Los Alamos’s Luke Branquinho furthered his reputation as one of the best steer wranglers on the planet last week as he took home top honors at the World Steer Wrestling competition in Las Vegas. Even better, the 31-year-old was also number one in the hard-fought National Finals Rodeo aggregate competition for steer wrestling. For Branquinho, the victories mark the third time he has won both titles during his career. The wins bring his prize earnings from 2011 to $238,514.
