The Sheriff’s Department has contracted with Aramark Correctional Services to provide food services to the County Jail while the aging jail’s sewer lines are fixed and the kitchen is remodeled. The seven-year contract — for $1.25 million each year, and which also includes $600,000 toward the kitchen renovation — will save the county $180,000 a year, according to officials.
