DCM Graphics Expands to Milpas Street
Design and Print Shop Hopes to Target Spanish-Speaking Customers
After DCM Graphics’ successful reopening in September 2012, the design and print business is now getting ready to open the doors of a second location on February 1 with the hope of gaining attention from the Latino community by providing one-on-one assistance to their Spanish-speaking customers.
When its original location was destroyed by a fire on Easter last year, DCM Graphics was quick to get back on its feet, reopening the current location on West Calle Laureles Street just five months later. As the company prepares to open its second storefront — Santa Barbara Graphics & Design at 516 North Milpas Street — owner Franco Rizzo said Thursday he hopes the new property will allow him to better share his business’s success with the Latino community.
Rizzo, who speaks Spanish as well as Italian and English, said he wants to provide Spanish speakers in the area with a comfortable, positive environment in which they can not only have their ideas understood but also be provided with the opportunity and assistance to put those ideas on paper. He hopes that by employing a bilingual staff and advertising to local, Spanish-speaking businesses he can gain the attention of the greater Latino community and create a stronger, more personalized relationship with its members.
