President of Motion Picture Music, record producer and Grammy Award winner Randy Spendlove who oversees all aspects of music for Paramount Pictures and has worked with such artists as Beyonce, Linkin Park, Green Day, and U2.

Nederlander Concert’s VP of Talent, Moss Jacobs is a concert industry veteran, known for mastering and promoting the unique attributes of mid-sized to large-sized venues to create memorable and high-yielding concerts with a wide variety of artists. In addition to over two decades of experience promoting concerts in Southern California, Moss has developed exceptional concert seasons at the Santa Barbara Bowl, where he has made the venue a must-play for major artists such as Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Santana, Pearl Jam, Gwen Stefani, Norah Jones, The Eagles and Aretha Franklin.

With over two decades experience in radio broadcast, Catherine currently co-hosts the “Gary and Catherine in the Morning” show on KLITE 101.7 FM in Santa Barbara, anchors the morning news for KTMS 990 AM and hosts the afternoon-drive slot for classical music station KDB 93.7 FM.

With the “Gary and Catherine in the Morning” show on KLITE 101.7 FM currently in its nineteenth year, it is Santa Barbara’s longest running radio show, and the duo are one of the most enduring radio teams in the country. They’ve consistently been rated number one in their demo for the past nineteen years, and Catherine’s Classical afternoon-drive show on KDB 93.7 FM has garnered the highest ratings in the station’s recent history.

The first annual Teen Star Showcase 2010 -originally called Santa Barbara Teen Idol – was an immediate success with an unexpected crowd of 425 people filling the Elings Performing Arts Center at Dos Pueblos High School and garnered national attention in its second year with celebrity judges Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina formerly of Loggins & Messina.

Last year’s sellout crowd at the Granada Theater propelled Teen Star into the national spotlight prompting other communities to contact Executive Producer, Joe Lambert to consider expanding this program. “Teen Star has far exceeded our expectations; the highest compliment we can receive is others wanting to bring the performing arts to their school districts”.

The Teen Star program kicked-off in January with a workshop to help train and prepare students for formal auditions taking place this Feb 21, 23 and 24th at various school locations. Teen Star will be announcing their top ten finalists on February 24th and those students will spend the next month preparing for the finale event with training sessions provided by J.R. Richards, lead singer of Platinum Award winning band Dishwalla.

Teen Star supports performing arts programs of Santa Barbara County by providing teens in seventh through twelfth grades with a positive, supportive environment to showcase their talents. Teen Star builds self-confidence in teens, develops their passions and helps them to realize their goals through their audition and performance experiences.
