A massive gang fight at 3 a.m. on Saturday in the 200 block of Cottage Grove left four people with stab wounds, two men and two women, and led to the arrest of five people, three men and two women aged 20-23. The five have been charged with attempted murder with gang enhancements, but their names have not been released.

SBPD spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood said officers responded to Cottage Grove on a call of a fight in progress. Some made their way directly to the scene while others detained people running from the area. The four victims were quickly located and transported to Cottage Hospital’s emergency room for treatment. Two of them remain under care in stable condition.

Detectives who took over the investigation would soon arrest the five suspects in connection with the stabbings, said Harwood. He declined to release any more details on the incident or the ongoing case.
