Tickets went on sale for Taste of Solvang on September 15, 2013. Presented by the Solvang Conference and Visitors Bureau, Taste of Solvang is a popular event that has highlighted the abundance of locally grown foods, wine, and diverse cuisine of the area since 1993. New to the event this year, an intimate Farm-to-Fork Dinner experience with famed Chef Budi Kazali of The Ballard Inn.

The popular Chef Walk & Demo is back for another year and kicks off Taste of Solvang on Wednesday, March 12th. Join the best Chefs in Solvang as they make their weekly trip through the Solvang Farmer’s Market! Past Chefs have included David Ceccini of Cecco’s Ristorante, Master Chef Norbert Schulz of the Mirabelle Inn, and Chef Heather Rae Hovey of Hadsten House. The line-up of Chef’s and additional information will be released in December 2013.
On Friday, March 14th, the extremely popular Dessert Reception is back with a new name, Sweets & Swing, with over 20 different confections for sampling. Attendees will be treated to locally produced Sparkling Wine and live Jazz. Food and wine unites on Saturday, March 15th and 16th; with over 40 local restaurants and shops participating in the redesigned Grand Tasting, formerly known as the Walking Smorgaasbord. Attendees will be treated to samples from Scandinavian specialties to New American from 11-4pm at this premiere event. Following the Grand Tasting, Attendees will have a choice between two activities: The Farm to Fork Experience with Chef Budi, and the first day of the Solvang Wine & Beer Walk during the weekend. The Farm to Fork Experience with Chef Budi is new this year, and promises an intimate family style dinner with the nationally recognized Chef utilizing all Solvang sourced ingredients. The first day of the Wine & Beer Walk begins on Saturday, with local Wine Tasting Rooms, Breweries, and Wine Bars open for special tastings, as attendees stroll through the picturesque village. Be sure to extend your time in Solvang through the weekend as the Wine & Beer Walk continues Sunday, March 16, 2014.
Advanced ticket purchase is highly recommended, and may be purchased ala carte: Sweets & Swing $25, Grand Tasting $30, Farm to Fork Dinner $120, Wine Walk $40 for a two-day pass which includes souvenir Wine Glass. Packages include: Passport Weekend includes Sweets & Swing, Grand Tasting, Solvang Wine & Beer Walk Pass for $85, or VIP Passport includes Passport Weekend and Farm to Fork Dinner for $185.
