Farm to Bar: The Craftsmen
Margerum Liquers and Cutler Bourbon Come Together
I’m excited for this town. I recently was given the honor of touring a very high-profile couple around, my brother and his lady, and since they work for the likes of David Lynch and Disney, their combined eye for design misses little.
From the New York subway-style tiles behind the bar at The Lark to the distillation of hand-picked rosemary blossoms for future gin made by Ian Cutler to the 20-something craft beers at Figueroa Mountain, Santa Barbara is stepping it up. And that’s just in one block. Thanks to UCSB Arts & Lectures series, which brings in some of the most talented musicians, dancers, and writers of our time, we eventually entertained by inspiration from all sides of art in just one day.
For a place that could have just been fine selling buckets of Corona and renting jet skis, we seem to want more out of life. And for that, I cheers you S.B.! Home’s never been so interesting.
