The Flying A
Patrick Reynolds

I love movies! From Amadeus to Zoolander and everything in between.

They accentuate, exaggerate, and even help us contemplate man’s triumphs and failures. Where would we be without the Kurosawas and Hitchcocks? It’s far too dull an avenue to explore any further in my opinion.

Two of my fondest moments to this day were one, seeing The Good the Bad and the Ugly and two, being tapped on the shoulder near the side of Arlington theater waiting to catch a glimpse of Sean Penn and Clint Eastwood, for Clint’s lifetime achievement award. The guy tapping me was Mr. Eastwood trying to sneak by the red carpet to get in the theater unnoticed. No motorcade, no pretension, just a tall drink of water with depth and interest in his smile.

To Mr. Eastwood and the other great writers, directors, actors and scorers that have graced our beautiful town in the years past, thank you, you’ve captured life completely!

Cheers!
