It’s egregious that Santa Barbara Channelkeeper had to sue the City of Santa Barbara to force the city to clean up its act and stop the sewage overflows. The city then resorting to herbicides to kill tree roots in the pipes is absolutely appalling. Fix the cracks in the pipes, for crying out loud! Toxic chemicals will end up in our ocean! Isn’t Santa Barbara supposed to be the poster child for being green and kind to Planet Earth?
