Betty Hatch
Paul Wellman

Betty Hatch is love. There’s no question about it. If you doubt this, then you don’t know Betty.

In answering this questionnaire, she said that she is the happiest person she knows, but she’s not bragging nor is she self-deluded. She is simply in tune with her blessings, knows exactly who she is, and embraces wholeheartedly the joy of living. If you ever see Betty together with her husband of decades, you’ll wrongly guess they’re teenagers in love.

In 1963, Betty founded La Belle Professional Training School where she taught five- to eight-year-olds to overcome low self-esteem issues. In 1980, she founded La Belle Foundation, also known as the Self-Esteem Learning Foundation, and continued her quest to make everybody learn to feel good about themselves. Her website self-esteem.org is an amazing free learning tool.

I personally owe so much to Betty Hatch. She propelled me forward in my own journey of healing and learning to value myself — something that I cannot ever fully repay.
