It’s Getting Hot Here

Southern Californians will be roasting this week as record heat is predicted for Wednesday and Thursday. On the coast in Santa Barbara, highs are expected to reach up to the mid-90s — highs are expected to hit the 100s in inland areas — according to the National Weather Service. Conditions are expected to be very dry and hot across Southern California counties, and “red flag” fire warnings have been issued for the mountains and valleys. Experts advise heightened precautions be taken in Los Angeles and Ventura counties due to the added conditions of Santa Ana winds and low humidity rates. At the beaches, temperatures are expected to decline to the 70s by Friday.
