Alisal Commons Park May Become Water Treatment Plant

Today at 3 p.m., the City of Solvang is planning a meeting at the proposed location for a new 30,000-square-foot water treatment plant on the property known as Alisal Commons Park, which is directly in front of a quaint and quiet Solvang neighborhood and directly across from the River Course at The Alisal. After this meeting with council members, there will be a council meeting at 6:30p.m.

We plan to have lots of neighbors in protest of this insane idea by the city. This is not an industrial section of town, and in no way shape or form should this “park” be turned into a hideous treatment plant. The city needs to finally turn this land into the park it always should have been!
