Farmers Parking
Every time I shop at the Farmers Market, I am saddened and angered that the adjacent parking facility, that used to accommodate dozens of cars, is now closed. This makes it very inconvenient to park and carry food an extra distance.
The lot is part of the Unemployment Department, a government agency. The government is supported by taxpayers and is supposed to serve the people. What arrogance!
Why are we being cowed by our own government? Where are the petitions? Where are the protesters? Why aren’t the merchants complaining? Why can’t the mayor do anything?
Santa Barbara, rise up and demand that your government work for you. There is absolutely no reason why this lot shouldn’t be used on Saturdays.
