Bob Field for 3rd District Supervisor

I was delighted to learn that Bob Field has announced that he will be running for the vacancy on the Board of Supervisors for the 3rd District. I can’t think of a more qualified, competent, and gracious individual to lead the district in the future on so many complex issues confronting this district and the board.

Field has already assumed a leadership role in the development of the Valley Community Plan, the protection of the Gaviota Coast, and protecting neighborhoods against intrusive and expansionist business plans.

Bob uses his high energy and professional wisdom to navigate the challenging issues of the day with a cheerful yet careful analysis, an insightful knowledge of how things work, and carefully decides on a course of action. He will win his constituency over by his articulated analysis.

Functionaries of local government know him well, and while they do not always agree with him, they respect his energetic demeanor and intellectual acumen.

Field will make an excellent supervisor for the 3rd District since he already enjoys broad appeal to people on all sides of the political spectrum. He possesses a perfect skill set to deal with important issues impacting rural areas of the Valley, Goleta, and the Central Coast. He’s a meticulous researcher who will examine how other counties dealt with like-type concerns.
